The Image Club PhotoGear™ series of stock photographs is a line of creative photographic image CD ROMs. We wish to provide you with an astonishingly wide variety of useful and exciting stock images for multimedia, fine art, advertising and superb quality, high resolution output — at a price anyone can afford.
There are currently twelve volumes in the Image Club PhotoGear collection that provide you with a wide variety of useful, exciting and exclusive stock images. The images are perfect for use in multimedia, fine art and advertising as you receive superb quality and high resolution output.
PhotoGear volumes are available on multi-platform compatible CD ROMs. This means the same CD disc may be used on either a Macintosh® or IBM® PC compatible computer system. Each volume also provides high, medium and low resolution formats for all of its images. PhotoGear volumes are of the best quality, scanned at the highest resolutions and are organized using Adobe® Fetch™ Browser for fast image searching, previewing and access (Macintosh version only).

PhotoGear™ File Format

The PhotoGear images in this sampler are one of two sizes and dimensions.
Standard stock photo images are 665 pixels by 1000 pixels at 133 pixels per inch. These images are approximately 2.75 mb in size when decompressed and are best suited for smaller, high resolution layouts and comps. They may be reproduced at full size (5.0 x 7.5 inches) using 85 lines per inch and lower screen frequencies.
Background stock photo images 1060 pixels horizontally by 1330 pixels vertically at 266 pixels per inch. These images are approximately 4 mb in size and are best suited for smaller, high resolution layouts and comps. They may be reproduced at full size (4.0 x 5.0 inches) using 150 lines per inch and lower screen frequencies.
All PhotoGear files are stored as LZW compressed 24 bit RGB TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) files. Compressed TIFF is a non-lossy compression scheme that ensures the detail and resolution is maintained in the image when compressed.
